Policy for ArcGIS 8.x Upgrade to ArcGIS 9.x

Data - ESRI
Dear Valued User,

It's glad to inform you that ArcGIS 9 has arrived Hong Kong!

To encourage you to migrate to ArcGIS 9, ESRI China (Hong Kong) is pleased to offer a six-month grace period to all maintenance subscribers to run both ArcGIS 8.x and 9 in parallel way, except those ArcView Single-Use and her extensions licenses, starting from the date of ArcGIS 9 license issued.

After the grace period, all users will have to sign the ESRI China (Hong Kong) Certification of Destruction, certifying that you have destroyed and discontinued use of ArcGIS 8.x license.

Any users who placed their order for ArcView 3.2a or 3.3 from August 2001 onwards, within your maintenance period, you will only entitle ArcView 3.x's upgrade, if available, instead of ArcView 9's. Yet, you can choose to purchase ArcView 9 now at the same price. The same applies to ArcView 3.x's extensions, like Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst, etc.

Should you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Division by telephone at (852) 2730 6883 or email at csd@esrichina-hk.com.

Thank you very much.

Regards,
ESRI China (HK) Technical Support
